The Nursery

The old stone building was completely renovated and turned into a nursery by the current owners in 2006. It has a gross internal area of 2,200 sq. ft and the walled garden extends to approximately 0.20 acre. The accommodation is all on one level and has a video entry system that ensures strict access control to the Nursery.

We are surrounded by many excellent amenities and places of interest including our local play park, Almond Valley Heritage Trust and lots of picturesque walks in and around the conservation area of Livingston Village. Edinburgh Zoo, Butterfly World, Bo'ness Steam Railway and Deep Sea World are all within easy reach for regular outings.

The Nursery Owners and Staff

The Nursery is owned and managed by myself Annette Irving, and my daughter, Nicola-Jane. We are both highly experienced and qualified Primary teachers and have specialised in Nursery Education for many years. We have successfully run nursery classes in Falkirk, West Lothian and North Lanarkshire, caring for between 40 and 120 children. We have now opened our own nursery in Livingston, an area we have lived and worked in for over 30 years.

All of our staff are fully qualified and are Disclosure Scotland checked upon engagement. As children imitate and look up to those around them, it is important to surround them with not only well-qualified staff but also excellent role models. All of our staff have good manners, a pleasant attitude, and lots of enthusiasm.

We operate a keyworker system whereby each member of staff is responsible for a group of children. Parents then know exactly who to speak to when enquiring about their child's day. We are committed to the care, welfare and professional development of our staff and are convinced that a happy workforce will make your child's time at nursery more rewarding and joyful.
